Sarah Emma (Divine) Torrens

Sarah Emma Divine was born in 1876, daughter to George Devine, a sailor (b. 15 May 1838 d. 31 Mar 1915). She married John Morrison Torrens in 1901.

About 1932/1933 they moved to Bournemouth to join Robert George Torrens, having been given an ultimatum by the IRA. More details are in John Morrison Torrens biography

Very shortly after moving to Bournemouth she was involved in a motoring accident at Cadnam in the New Forest, which proved fatal. There are some newspaper reports which have been transcribed:
