Freelance Technical Author
One "hat" I have worn through much of my working life is as a technical author - writing instruction manuals for electronic productss. Now I am retired I am available as a freelance author and can help write new instructions or bash existing ones into good shape.
I have written an electronics www site - 4qdtec.com. I have designed electronic products and industrial control systems. I have specified software, including user interfaces and I have dabbled in programming in several languages. My www site, which I still add to, contains much writing on many subjects. Including a mini-autobiography/CV. From 1991 I ran my own electronics businsess - 4QD with my wife, which we sold in late 2015.

4QD (motor control)
In 1991 I started a business making motor controllers for battery applications. Most of our market was one-off retail sales. We needed good instructions! The business was sold in 2014 to 4QD Ltd
Most of the manuals I wrote (and illustrated) for 4QD are reproduced here, A good one to show the level of skill I can offer is Pro-150 instructions, see below. the most are in two formats:

- PDF for on screen reading: these are gradually being added. Please ask!

You will need Adobe's Acrobat to read them. If this is not already installed on your computer, it is freely available via the www.
Those for printing are designed to end up as an A5 booklet (approx 4" by 6") by printing double sided on A4 and folding on the centre line.
